Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 333-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus including at a network of Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary

The Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and supporting supply chain solutions to enhance procurement, inventory management, financial reporting, and data integration at Eskenazi Health. This role collaborates with procurement, revenue cycle, finance, and IT teams to ensure seamless system functionality, data accuracy, and operational efficiency. The analyst provides technical expertise in implementing and maintaining supply chain software, integrating data across platforms, and managing reporting tools to support decision-making.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Proactively contributes to Eskenazi Health Mission: Advocate, Care, Teach and Serve with special emphasis on the vulnerable population of Marion County.
  • Support and maintains enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply chain management systems.
  • Engage with vendors and internal stakeholders to implement system upgrades and improvements. 
  • Assist with contract management by ensuring pricing, terms and conditions are accurately reflected in contract catalogs.
  • Partner with revenue cycle teams to ensure accurate charge capture for medical supplies and implants.
  • Analyze supply chain cost data to assist finance with budgeting, forecasting and expense tracking.
  • Ensure proper mapping of item master data to financial and billing systems for proper reimbursement.
  • Collaborate with IT to maintain system interfaces between supply chain, finance and clinical systems.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain data integrity and consistency across procurement, inventory and financial systems.
  • Conduct system audits to verify data accuracy and operational effectiveness.
     

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, Finance or a related field. 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or data analyst roles accepted in lieu of bachelor’s degree

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of healthcare supply chain management and procurement workflows.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, data analytic tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of financial principles, cost accounting and revenue cycle processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of utilizing standard supply chain equipment or resources specific to laptop, scanners, printers, technology and telecom systems.
  • Preferred experience with SAP ARIBA, SAP Fiori, SAP MRP, EPIC, Global Health Exchange (GHX), GHX eInvoicing, Vizient Group Purchasing Organization, ECRI, EDI, CXML and Power BI solutions.
