Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center, Indiana's first community mental health center, provides comprehensive care for emotional and behavioral problems, including severe mental illness and substance abuse. The Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center offers both inpatient and outpatient services, including several outreach centers as well as clinic- and community-based services.

Where You Fit In:
Am I Qualified?
- High School Diploma or GED, plus two years of experience in Behavioral Health
- OR Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree
- Must possess a valid Indiana Driver's License that meets Eskenazi Health's driving policy requirements.
- Current CPR certification.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Embraces and operates under the Recovery Model, including AIDET and motivational interviewing spirit.
- Delivers skills training to clients in group and individual settings based on medical necessity in the Person Centered Treatment Plan.
- Covers various skills such as home and self-care management, emotion management, and crisis interventions (CPR, CPI).
- Engages in quality case management directed by the treatment team and aligned with medical necessity.
- Provides transportation as needed, adhering to Vehicle-Related Accident Reporting Procedures.
- Meets agency standards for client service hours and timely completion of progress notes.
- Advocates for clients, fostering community relationships and resources for needed services.
- Reports client progress, challenges, and any care changes in treatment team staffing.
- Performs selected nursing procedures within scope of practice.
- Maintains a safe environment through ongoing assessment and intervention per treatment plans.
- Takes personal responsibility for annual development, including 20 hours of training on addictions, cultural competency, and trauma.
- Documents all client interactions with interventions or observations.

- Basic knowledge of behavioral health

Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center's primary mission is to serve individuals with serious mental illness and chronic addiction as well as seriously emotionally disturbed children and their families.
