Help Shape Strategy Through Data‑Driven Insight

Eskenazi Health is seeking a Senior Strategy Business Analyst to join our internal consulting team and play a critical role in advancing our mission, vision, and values. In this highly analytical and collaborative role, you’ll partner with leaders across the organization to deliver insights that inform strategic decision‑making, optimize operations, and identify growth opportunities across the health system.

This is an ideal opportunity for a healthcare analytics professional who enjoys translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations and influencing strategy through financial and operational insight.

What You'll Do

As a trusted analytical partner, you will:

  • Provide strategic insight by analyzing financial, operational, and patient data to support business operations, service line reviews, and growth initiatives.
  • Serve as an internal consultant, offering objective, data‑driven perspectives on complex business questions grounded in strong business and healthcare acumen.
  • Collect, integrate, and interpret data from multiple internal and external sources, platforms, databases, and business intelligence tools to produce high‑impact analyses and reports for senior leadership.
  • Support business development and strategic planning efforts by contributing subject‑matter expertise and building compelling, data‑backed business cases that move initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Develop clear, compelling deliverables, including internal and external assessments, key assumptions, resource requirements, and financial projections.
  • Create and maintain performance‑tracking tools to monitor the success of new and ongoing initiatives, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and transparency.
  • Deliver recurring executive‑level reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual) that highlights trends, risks, and opportunities across the organization.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to identify root causes of issues and uncover opportunities for improvement in clinical and operational performance.
  • Support prioritization and funding decisions by providing financial, operational, and business management reporting across assigned areas.

Qualifications and Education

  • Five (5) years of experience in healthcare operations and data analysis required; healthcare finance experience strongly preferred.
  • A Master’s degree from an accredited university (MHA, MBA, or equivalent) preferred.
    • Equivalent healthcare administrative experience or degrees in related disciplines will be considered.
  • Strong expertise in financial, operational, and strategic analytics, including the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Experience developing business cases, financial projections, and analytical summaries to support executive decision‑making.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with advanced Excel skills strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build clear, well‑documented, and repeatable reports and analyses.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare operations, finance, billing, insurance, and compliance.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with comfort presenting to senior leaders.
