Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provides appropriate respiratory care in Acuity Adaptable unit
- Delivers respiratory care via assessment, critical thinking and monitoring, while exercising multidisciplinary communication
- Administers all respiratory care as allowed by student permit
- Responds to, participates in, and calls designated resources for all emergent situations within the assigned area
- Provides accurate, complete and timely documentation of all patient care administered
- Complies with all organizational policies including state licensure, practice guidelines, required credentialing and passing all required competencies
- Complies with the AARC Statement of Ethics and Professional Conduct
- Provides age appropriate respiratory care in all assigned areas
- Cleans and assembles respiratory care equipment
- Submits accurate and complete equipment charges via the electronic medical record in coordination with accurate documentation
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in, and actively pursuing a degree in Respiratory Care, from an AMA approved program for Respiratory Care
- Current in BLS, and any applicable organizational required annual education
- • Respiratory Care Student Permit from the state of Indiana within 60 days of hire date

- Knowledge of cardiopulmonary anatomy/physiology, pathophysiology and appropriate modalities and techniques
