Eskenazi Health is seeking a dedicated Rehab Technician at our Outpatient West 38th Street location to join our Rehabilitation Services team. This role is essential in supporting physical, occupational, and speech therapy services that help patients regain independence and improve quality of life. 

About the Role

Under the supervision of licensed therapists or therapy assistants, the Rehab Technician assists with therapy-related activities and ensures smooth operations within the department. This position routinely interacts with adult and geriatric patients and occasionally with pediatric and adolescent patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist therapists with routine tasks and delegated patient care activities.
  • Facilitate durable medical equipment (DME) and supply orders.
  • Safely transport patients in a timely manner.
  • Schedule and cancel patient appointments, verify referrals, and prioritize departmental needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  • Support student education and provide constructive feedback during clinical rotations.

Qualifications

•    High school education or equivalent required. Some undergraduate education or degree in related field (Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or Athletic training) preferred
•    Previous experience as Rehab Tech preferred
•    Prefer candidates enrolled in PT, OT, ST, PTA, COTA or health related program at accredited school or completing prerequisites to enter the same
•    Successful completion of Rehab Tech competencies within first thirty days
