Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

 

FLSA Status

  • Responsible for oversight of procedure/preference card maintenance.
  • Utilizes dashboard reports to ensure that service line coordinators are maintaining and reviewing procedure/preference cards.
  • Works collaboratively with system users who have little or no technical knowledge in providing education and information
  • Develops and implements processes, policies and procedures that guide and support the clinical documentation improvement program.
  • Assists with the patient billing and reconciliation process when coverage is needed.
  • Uses dashboards and reports to communicate results and drive education programs.
  • Consults with managers to determine desired quality metrics and the frequency of those reports.
  • Maintains diplomatic working relationships with individuals and departments actively involved with information technology and information management.

This position would report to the Associate Director of Patient Care Business Operations of Surgical Services, and be instrumental in maintaining and providing key data for support education and performance improvement.

  • Daily interactions with Surgical Services leadership group
  • Collaborative relationships with clinical staff including physicians, nurses, and CST's, Business and Medical Directors, Information Services, Patient Services Management, Financial services, Admitting, Revenue Cycle Management, Health Information Management, and Materials Management.
