The position is a 2 year grant position funded by the Environmental Protection Agency and working through the Marion County Health Department (MCPHD) will develop public education and community outreach programs for underserved communities and vulnerable populations focusing on those most impacted by stay at home recommendations amid the coronavirus pandemic. Specific ally, this position will address the health impacts that may be increased due to exposure of unhealthy housing amid individuals at higher risk of complications of COVID-19.  The employee will use public education and outreach strategies as well as offer practical assistance to clients to achieve program goals. A high degree of professionalism is required. The chosen candidate will possess a highly-developed ability to work independently; creative and flexibility; and excellent ability to communicate comfortably in group settings or one-on-one interactions.  A Bachelor’s degree in public health, program management or a related field or a Bachelor’s degree and related experience is required.   Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
