Job Role Summary

Responsible for assisting patients in accessing care, treatment, and results. Providing backup for patient navigator, intake, and phlebotomy will be the primary work duty; however, other duties in service of patient access and quality assurance will be important components of the position. 

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, an advanced degree is highly desired
  • 1-2 years previous office coordination experience required; and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
Licenses/Certifications Required
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Current automobilie insurance.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Language Skills: 

  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a wide variety of staff at various levels of knowledge and communication, as well as members of outside organizations/agencies, and the public; 
  • Ability to display patience, understanding, initiative, tact and maturity and the ability to communicate concepts and instructions clearly.

Mathematical Skills: 

  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 

Reasoning Ability: 

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Working Enviornment
  • Standard office setting.
  • On-the-job duties require talking, hearing, sitting, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to climb balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and stand.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform job duties in environment with moderate noise level (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
  • Has exposure to communicable diseases; combative patients and their associates in stress situations.
