Job Role Summary

Eskenazi Health is seeking a Mental Health Occupational Therapist with a strong interest in serving the inpatient mental health population. This role focuses on supporting individuals experiencing acute and chronic mental health challenges as they work toward stabilization, recovery, and community reintegration. The OT will play a key role in promoting independence, resilience, and meaningful engagement in daily life through behavioral health assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including both group and individual treatment sessions. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with an interdisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, pharmacists, nurses, social workers, and peer support specialists on discharge planning, documentation of patient progress, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic, trauma-informed environment that promotes meaningful engagement and long-term recovery. 

Job Requirements

- Active Indiana Occupational Therapist license 

- Current BLS certification 

- Previous experience in mental health occupational therapy is preferred.
