Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary

The Manager, Project Management is responsible for maintaining departmental standards and procedures. The Manager, Project Management will maintain reporting metrics. This position acts as a program lead to maintain consistency among internal customers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Maintains project governance standards and procedures for Eskenazi Health
  • Maintains standards and procedures within scope of responsibility
  • Engages with System Evolution and Eskenazi Health governance structures to maintain the project portfolio
  • Monitors the organization's resources and project capacity
  • Monitors project milestones and deadlines
  • Works with stakeholders to assess service delivery, resolve issues and continuously improve outcomes of the team
  • Manages and supervises the operations of Project Managers; mentors Project Managers and other departmental staff as appropriate
  • Actively removes barriers to successful completion of projects
  • Assists in the maintenance of project management tools
  • Continuously improves the strength, alignment and capability of the staff and potential talent pool
  • Tracks key performance indicators and drives strategic and tactical improvements
  • Works collaboratively with System Evolution, Information Services and health system leaders to strengthen the overall performance of Eskenazi Health

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or a related field, or the equivalent in experience and/or certifications. Five (5) years of experience managing complex projects. PMI or similar certification; Scrum Master Certification.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency with stakeholder management, service improvement and requirements engineering/analysis best practices
  • Experience using common project and portfolio management platforms such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Primavera, ServiceNow, etc.
  • Familiarity with service management processes relevant to project management such as Release Management, Change Management, Transition Planning and Support, Continual Service Improvement, etc
