Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 333-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus including at a network of Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary

The Manager of Supply Operations is responsible for the daily leadership, oversight, and coordination of Receiving, Distribution, Par Inventory Management, Central Supply, and Linen Services. This role ensures seamless supply operations to support patient care and hospital functions while driving efficiency, compliance, cost savings, and service excellence. The Manager develops staff, implements best practices, and partners with clinical and operational leadership to maintain a reliable and safe supply chain.
 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Proactively contributes to Eskenazi Health Mission: Advocate, Care, Teach and Serve with special emphasis on the vulnerable population of Marion County.
  • Oversee daily operations of receiving, distribution, par-level inventory management, central supply, and linen services.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and performance metrics to optimize efficiency and service quality.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and hospital standards.
  • Lead hiring, training, performance management, and professional development of assigned staff.
  • Manage inventory control, including cycle counts, stock rotation, demand forecasting, and shrinkage reduction.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to set appropriate par levels and ensure timely, accurate supply distribution.
  • Develop operational budgets, monitor expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure receiving processes align with procurement contracts, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, technology adoption, and workflow redesign.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, healthcare administration or business preferred.
  • 7-10 years supply chain experience with minimum 3 years in leadership.
     

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of inventory management principles, receiving procedures and linen operations.
  • Proficiency using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Capable of utilizing standard supply chain equipment or resources specific to box cutter, wireless handheld devices, computer, electronic power jacks, code carts, case carts, rolling racks, recycle & trash compactors.
  • Preferred knowledge of healthcare supply chain terminology, receiving, restocking, linen controls, courier services, SAP MRP, SAP Fiori, Linen Helper, Global Health Exchange, Kronos & Power BI.
