Job Role Summary

The Clinical Resource Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the clinical supply initiatives, ensuring that medical products, equipment, and services are evaluated for quality, cost-effectiveness, and clinical appropriateness at Eskenazi Health. This role works closely with senior leadership, clinicians, supply chain, and finance teams to develop strategies that optimize product utilization, reduce costs, and enhance patient care outcomes. The manager provides strategic leadership for clinical supply committees, drives standardization initiatives, and ensures alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Proactively contributes to Eskenazi Health Mission: Advocate, Care, Teach and Serve with special emphasis on the vulnerable population of Marion County.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive clinical supply strategy to optimize cost, quality, and outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional committees while facilitating collaboration among clinical, administrative, and supply chain teams.
  • Oversee the evaluation, selection, and standardization of medical products, equipment, and services.
  • Analyze financial, clinical, and operational data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor clinical supply outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation requirements, and institutional policies.
  • Educate and engage committees on product and supply chain optimization.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in healthcare.
  • Maintain policies and procedures related to product evaluation and selection.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field. 
  • 7 years nursing or supply chain with 2 years leadership experience accepted in lieu of bachelor’s degree.

  • Understanding of nursing and clinical supply initiatives.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement & sourcing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team.
  • Preferred experience with SAP Ariba, SAP Fiori, Emergency Care Research Institute (ECRI), Vizient Group Purchasing Organization, Global Health Exchange (GHX), Power BI, UKG Kronos, Request for Proposals, Product Conversions and Value Analysis and Supplier Diversity.
