Job Role Summary

The Talent and Learning Development Trainer is responsible for assisting with designing and implementation of learning programs that support employee growth and skill development.  This position will facilitate leadership development programs and other training, using a variety of instruction methods appropriate for adult learners.
 

Essential Duties

  • Assists Talent Management and Development Manager with designing and implementing learning programs that support employee group and skill development.
  • Search, evaluate and recommend resources for training and coordinate and develop curricula and materials according to identified training needs.
  • Facilitates, develops and implements training programs for leadership development, compliance and career development.
  • Collaborate with managers and senior leaders to determine training needs and works with Talent Management and Development Manager to create trainings and acquire appropriate career development resources.
  • In partnership with the Talent Management and Development Manager, ensures program outcomes and goals for employees are met. 
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills; both oral and written.
  • Evaluates training programs to ensure effectiveness and progress.
  • Participates in the development, review and continuous improvement of training materials and resources.

Associated Job Duties

  • Experience with using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Comfort level of facilitating to groups up to 100 people, in-person and virtually.
  • Strong organizational time management skills.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field and at least five (5) years of training and development experience required.
 

Licenses/Certifications Required

Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) is a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Good interpersonal skills to relate to a variety of staff with different learning styles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Team player who enjoys collaborative work as well as individual responsibilities.

Working Environment

  • Office setting with a hybrid schedule as work permits.
  • Valid Driver’s License required. May be required to travel to various locations to train staff.
