Job Role Summary

This position will serve as the Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) social media/web site specialist for the Ryan White/HIV Services Program (RWSP).  This position will be responsible for coordination and implementation of awareness initiatives, monitoring related contracts, social media presence, and coordinating RWSP communication and awareness initiatives with other trending or national initiatives. This position will be funded through CDC Integrated HIV Programs for Health Departments to Support Ending the HIV Epidemic in the United States grants through the Indiana Department of Health, and HRSA Ending the HIV Epidemic grants. Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of the grants. 

Essential Duties

Build and execute social media strategies 
Generate and publish daily content 
Analyze social media data 
Monitor trending HIV-related hashtags, topics, and national campaigns and find unique ways to integrate them into ongoing activities.
Liaise with the Corporation Public Relations department as needed.
Maintain Program web sites including but not limited to, content management, site upgrades, troubleshooting issues.
Assist with Basecamp uploads and posts as needed.
Participate in public health emergency preparedness exercises and response to public health emergencies, as directed.  
Participates in eight (8) hours of H.O.P.E. events per year.  
Performs other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in public health, communications, or related field; or six years related experience or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.  
Two years or more experience in social media management, familiarity with publishing and web design.
Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, time management and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of social media KPIs, web traffic metrics and SEO.
Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking.

Licenses/Certifications Required

Valid driver's license

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Language Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Experience in working with grants or in grant writing.
Bi-lingual (Spanish) highly desired

Ability to analyze data and information to identify problems and develop potential corrective actions
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Innovative mindset
Apply sound, public health strategies 

Working Environment

Standard office environment.
Exposure to communicable disease, illness and irate community members.
Some physical effort associated with filing, carrying of supplies for health fairs, travel between main office and meetings, program site(s), and health fairs.
Required to drive both in-county and out-of-county for the coordination of program initiatives.
