Job Role Summary
This position is responsible for completing projects and administrative tasks for the Healthy Families program, as well as supporting the Manager, Senior Supervisors, Supervisors, and Mental Health Clinicians as needed. Primary projects will be focused on curricula and activity development.
Essential Duties
Intern Job Responsibilities:
Program Curricula
• Review all evidence-based parenting and child development curricula that the program currently uses.
• Create a spreadsheet to document information about each curriculum, including age range, content or activity type, languages available, etc.
• Scan and upload curricula to the shared network drive as needed.
• Organize curricula electronically by age range (1 month, 2 months, etc.) and by content (teething, gross motor development, etc.).
• Create seasonal safety newsletters to distribute to families (winter weather safety, fireworks safety, etc.).
• Explore options for new curricula, including cost, applicability, feasibility, etc.
• Search for and compile materials in other languages.
Activity Development
• Compile monthly activity packets containing educational information and a corresponding parent-child interaction activity and organize by skill set (language development, fine motor development, etc.).
• Prepare supplies for activity packets.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining the activity supply room.
Office Support
• Support Program Intake Supervisor regularly with other priority tasks, including stocking supplies, tidying the office, taking meeting minutes, etc.
• Assist Manager, Senior Supervisors, Supervisors, and Mental Health Clinicians as needed with other tasks, including copying, filing, scanning and saving documents, and creating various reports as requested.
• Complete other job duties as assigned.
Associated Job Duties

• Shadow seasoned home visitors and welcome visitors in the field.
• Drop materials by the homes of prospective program participants.
• Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) projects when available (PDSA cycles).
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
• Undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a course of study at a college or university leading to a degree or certificate from an accredited institution in Human Development and Family Studies, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Social Work, or Public Health.
Qualifications:
• 1+ years of previous experience working with a variety of software and/or data entry systems

• Proficiency with technology; knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Outlook and Excel, required

• Unconfined sitting, working at computer, attending meetings, etc.; standing and walking; steady use of hands and fingers – data entry; limited lifting and carrying.
