Job Role Summary

The PMO team is searching for an energetic Enterprise IT Project Manager to join our team in the CIS Department. We are looking for team members who are excited about providing technology based solutions for the residents of Marion County.  We have a strong desire to add engaged, technically skilled individuals who are enthusiastic about partnering with our business units to improve work processes and alleviate pain points.  New team members should have a ‘service through technology’ perspective and a ‘sum is greater than its parts’ mentality.


The Enterprise IT Project Manager as a member of the Corporate Information Services team is responsible for managing several high impact enterprise-wide IT Projects and initiatives of various sizes. Working with peer management at all levels from the executive level through all departments the Enterprise IT PM supports business and IT strategies, goals, objectives, and change initiatives through effective project leadership.  


The Enterprise IT PM manages overall communications to stakeholders and acts as liaison between business users, vendors, and technical teams during projects. The Enterprise IT PM has strong critical thinking and analytical skills, highly effective oral and written communication skills, and a consultative approach to building relationships and recommending the best courses of action. The Enterprise IT PM demonstrates leadership in various situations and has an ability to gain commitment from parties with differing positions and opinions.  


The Enterprise IT PM has a proven track record of delivering projects and results on time holding oneself, and others, accountable for milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.  


The Enterprise IT PM works under the supervision of the Manager, Project Management Office. As a member of the CIS department, the Enterprise IT PM may be asked to perform other duties as assigned.  


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • Ten to twelve years of professional experience with five to seven years of experience as project lead for IT Projects
  • PMP or equivalent certification strongly preferred
  • Six Sigma, Agile PM, MBA or other similar certifications a plus
  • Access to own vehicle for in-county travel strongly preferred

Licenses/Certifications Required

  • Valid driver's license.

  • General knowledge of systems lifecycle methods, tools, standards, and automated project management systems

  • Ability to travel to other locations within Marion County for project work 
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None. This position has no direct reports but must be able to coordinate efforts with a variety of high-level influencers within the organization.
