Job Role Summary

It is the responsibility of the of the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to promote a safe and healthy environment for employees, visitors, and contractors by assisting with the identification and resolution of unsafe conditions while maintaining HHC and MCPHD safety programs in compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations. 

Qualifications

•  
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety management, environmental management, or a closely related field. A Master's degree in occupational safety management, environmental management or closely related field is strongly preferred.
• Designations such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Risk Management (ARM), Hazmat Certified, etc. are desired
• Combination of education, training and work experience in the duties and responsibilities
• Ability to drive on behalf of the corporation including an acceptable driving record/MVR that meets or exceeds corporate qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft® Office programs 
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, the public and contractors
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Ability to develop and deliver effective training and compliance programs

Working Enviornment

• Work will involve both indoor and outdoor duties across multiple corporate buildings and grounds. Must have the ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time, as well as ability to crouch, crawl, and climb. Ability to maintain steady use of hands and fingers.
