POSITION SUMMARY:

A Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS) is an investigator that intervenes in the spread of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs).  Investigations involve managing reported, suspected and potential cases of STDs through record searches, case documentation, interacting with health care providers, interviewing patients, and conducting field work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in the field of Public Health or Sciences.
