Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary
In collaboration with the Public Affairs & Communications team, the Digital Media Coordinator assists with the development and review of content on internal and external Eskenazi Health websites and digital communication outreach efforts.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Participates in the development and implementation of digital strategies to enhance the positive image of Eskenazi Health
- Serves as primary resource within Public Affairs & Communications for maintaining content on Eskenazi Health’s external website on a day-to-day basis
- Works cooperatively with other staff in Public Affairs & Communications, Information Services, internal and external design teams, agencies, content providers, etc. to develop and implement web-based marketing strategies and tactics in support of Eskenazi Health and major service lines
- Serves as a liaison between Eskenazi Health, CRM solution company and other digital communication vendors when assigned
- Builds, tests and deploys email campaigns with CRM platform
- Meets regularly with Eskenazi Health’s Digital Communications Strategist on projects, tasks and strategies to coordinate digital communication efforts
- Conducts ongoing competitive and industry analysis of online/digital tactics to identify trends and growth opportunities
- Coordinates patient review response and location listing management utilizing reputation management tools
- Facilitates content updates with online platforms utilized by Public Affairs & Communications and other departments
- Monitors opportunities for technological advancements to improve online user experience by researching the latest web developments for potential implementation
- Routinely reviews content on website for accuracy and timeliness to ensure that all aspects of Eskenazi Health's online presence are up-to-date, consistent with other public-facing marketing activities and represent the Eskenazi Health brand in the highest quality possible
- Writes, edits and proofreads content for website using graphic and technology skills to create new pages for websites that are consistent with Eskenazi Health's graphic standards and naming conventions
- Collaborates with Eskenazi Health Information Services to ensure optimal functionality of internal and external sites
- Coordinates daily updates to intranet site, e.g., news and events postings
- Tracks and reports on site metrics monitoring and analyzing usage and trends
- Monitors quality and effectiveness of digital communications, including benchmarking and monitoring digital placements
- Monitors Eskenazi Health’s presence on various search engines and implements SEO best practices for EskenaziHealth.edu
- Regularly monitoring available web metric tools and preparing reports upon request
- Serves as the backup to other staff members when needed
- Assists with photography for internet and intranet sites
- Responds to inquiries from news media and coordinates the release of information on a 24-hour basis when on call
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or related discipline required
• A minimum of two years progressive professional experience in communications preferred
• Willing to travel locally when appropriate and work weekends and evenings on an as-needed basis
• Valid Indiana driver's license that meets Eskenazi Health’s driving policy requirements

- Advanced computer skills required, including Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, CRM tools, CMS platforms
