Job Role Summary

Assist Central Indiana residents who are uninsured with completing documentation for Medicaid, HIP 2.0, Health Advantage and the Federal Marketplace applications. Requires on-site community based agency visits, school visits, presentation skills and neighborhood canvassing.  80% out of office work  at sites and 20% in office work completing reports. Requires access to a vehicles with insurance coverage. 

Associated Job Duties

Field Duties: 80%

  • Identify, recruit and enroll potential recipients of health cost assistance programs and insurance programs in Marion County and surrounding counties in assigned territories
  • Establish on-site enrollment at schools, organizational meetings and enroll families and individuals in insurance programs
  • Organize neighborhood enrollment sites for appropriate communities
  • Support all awareness campaign to promote program

 

Administrative Duties: 20%

  • Generate Monthly Reports; attend monthly meetings
  • Data Entry of client information; manage client information and assure it is kept confidential following HIPAA Rules
  • Become familiar with assigned territory and find agencies for where clients c can be served
  • Other Duties As assigned by Director, Team Leader and Coordinator
  • Participate in public health emergency preparedness exercises and in the response to public health emergencies as directed

Qualifications

  • Two years college or college degree a plus
  • 1-3 years health insurance experience
  • Bi-lingual a plus but not required
  • Reliable transportation for in-county travel

Licenses/Certifications Required

  • Indiana Navigators License
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid automobile insurance

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Driving
  • Lifting supplies
  • Medicaid knowledge

Working Environment

  • Work in community –based agencies and schools.  
  • Some in office paperwork required.
