Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary

The Access and Provisioning Analyst provides support of any IS security Access and Provisioning related tasks/responsibilities that Epic/Legacy systems might have as part of the implementation/support model. This position is responsible for coordinating security-related activity across physical (buildings, grounds), infrastructure (network, servers, operating system) and application (Epic or non-Epic) teams.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provides support of any IS security Access and Provisioning related tasks/responsibilities that Epic/Legacy systems might have as part of the implementation/support model. To include SER related Security template support
  • Responds in a timely manner to incidents tickets, per SLA.
  • Maintains accurate, complete Security documentation for Security Access identification, problem resolution, root cause analysis and change control
  • Follows Departmental and Organizational Change Control policies, including maintaining all CMDB and CI information to ensure it has the most current information
  • Establishes ownership of each particular security class
  • Coordinates security template and role updates and establishes a security change control process
  • Coordinates security-related activity across physical (buildings, grounds), infrastructure (network, servers, operating system) and application (Epic or non-Epic) teams
  • Works with application and compliance teams to design system-level access
  • Creates user records and maps them to templates built by application coordinators/analysts
  • Creates appropriate shared security classifications which do not have specific application ownership
  • Creates and maintains procedures to activate, deactivate, and update user records

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years programming (Security Access) experience in a hospital or large institutional data processing environment
  • Attainment and maintaining of an EPIC Security certification
  • EPIC Security certification highly preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of:
    • Provisions application security levels and roles
    • Basic Project Management techniques, methods and best practices
    • Windows or UNIX as a user
  • Ability to:
    • Identify, analyze and solve Security related problems
    • Interpret Security record layouts
    • Communicate effectively with department personnel/all levels of personnel throughout the organization
    • Set priorities and handle multiple projects
    • Achieve established deadlines
